Mouse study tests MAGL11–icaritin treatment for gut injury

The original preclinical study examined imidazole-propionate-driven metabolic intestinal injury. In male mice, the combination alleviated ulcerative-colitis-like symptoms, reduced pro-inflammatory cytokines and repaired the intestinal barrier. It also reshaped the gut microbiota, but the findings do not establish safety or effectiveness in people.
